The city of Bhopal is filled with wilderness galore, and the vision of looking down on the grassy hills and Indian plains gives you a true feeling of being on top of the world. Bhopal is divided into six separate areas, making a distinct definition between “Old City” and “New City.” Bhopal remains very classical, with the major industries in the Old City being jewelry, cotton, painting and cloth weaving. Handicraft remains, to this day, a major production of the Old City, with a great demand for its extremely famous embroidery work “zardozi,” used on purses, sherwanis and bridal dresses.
